    Campbell comes from the Gaelic cam beul, which translates, not very flatteringly, as crooked mouth. It started life as a nickname and ended up attached to one of the largest families in Scotland anyway. We rather like that — a name that began as a bit of a dig and got carved into half the country's history regardless. Not a bad arc for something you wear every day.
